HOREB HAITIAN SDA CHURCH
ORGANIZATION REPORT
SATURDAY FEBRUARY 4, 2012 HOREB CHURCH ORGANIZED AS A COMPANY.
“Horeb 1re Eglise Adventiste Haitienne Kentucky” Is the name of the church that is being organized. Pastor Celeve Izean is a Haitian, who came from Maranatha Haitian SDA church of West Philadelphia in 2003 to New Life SDA church of Louisville Kentucky where he served as a local ordain elder for six years. GOD has a plan! GOD sent Elder Celeve there for a special mission to start a Haitian Church but he didn"t know. From 2003 through 2009 he started to gather some friends and family, but he brought them to New Life SDA church. After studying the bible with them three of them got baptized. On October 31, 2009 the lord made his dream come true, so he founded the very first Haitian mission in the South Central Conference with only four active members which are Pastor Celeve Izean, his wife Celicia Izean and his two daughters Celene and Carmene Izean. From October 31, 2009 to October 31, 2010 he baptized fifteen people. From October 31, 2010 to January 2012 he baptized fifteen more people. Therefore, the South Central Conference had to vote to organize the mission as a company on the Sabbath of February 4, 2012. The official delegate from the conference was the treasurer Pastor Auldwin Humphries. At the time we were able to invite a variety of people to come to the ceremony, but a tragedy happen  to a young 24 years old Haitian. He got shot and died and the funeral was the same day as the ceremony. Therefore we only had 16 visitors and 16 children and 20 members who came to the ceremony. To God be the glory for great things he has done.

HOREB CHURCH GIVE BIRTH TO A CHILD
During the month of August through September, I’ve been studying with another congregation back in Haiti a (Sunday keeping church). This church used to be my father in-law’s home church. Since he is a Seven Day Adventist now and a member of Horeb, he told me that what he has learned from me, he would like to take it to his old church in Haiti to show them that they are in error. And I told them that I can do that for him while I’m here. Therefore he put me in contact with the pastor by phone. Since then I’ve kept on calling him and shared the truth with them. One day I ask him “Is it possible that I can preach a sermon for you on a Sunday?” He said without hesitation “YES!” So the following Sunday August 28, 2011 he put me on a schedule to preach over the speaker during church service. Therefore I took that opportunity to speak on HEBREW 4:1-11 the message was title: “It’s never too late to do good when you‘re still alive”. But I continued to pray for them and talked to the pastor about the Sabbath day. He said to me “I accept but I wonder if the members will agree with me.” It was then I said “I’ll take it from there!”
Therefore, I called a special meeting over the phone with the church members and the pastor to talk about switching the church from Sunday to Saturday. Most of them accepted and I said “Hallelujah, praise the Lord!” When we were suppose to change the church to Sabbath, the pastor ended up in jail for sleeping with a minor. Therefore, I took over the church right then and there. So the church started their first worship service Saturday September 17, 2011with ten members. I called on my nephew, Zacharie Charles, to be the elder and to lead the church while I’ll furnish them what they need to continue preaching the three angels message. But as you know I need your help on that because they are worshiping under a tent and they can only stay there if it’s not raining. Therefore my appeal to you is in this question: Can you please help me gather money together to go there and build a one day church for them? And to appreciate them for this precious decision they have made. PASTOR CELEVE IZEAN

About Seventh-day Adventists
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. More >>
